Clement has 24 years of investment track record. Clement started his investment career in 1994 with Deutche Morgan Grenfell, which is the investment bank unit of Deutche Bank Group. Over 10 years, he advised clients with their investment decisions. In 2005, Clement left the bank to start his own business in corporate advisory and direct investments. The Mecury group has offices in Singapore, China, Vietnam and Japan.
Some of the notable deals Clement has completed include:
1. Acquisition of an operating oil field in China for which was later divested to a Singapore listed company
2. Investment in a Chemical Company in China which was later listed on the Singapore Exchange
3. Advice and turnaround a building material company which was later sold to a Singapore listed furniture company
4. Investment of substantial stake in a colorant manufacturer which he exit at multiple times investment
Clement was the the Non-Executive Director of Jade Technologies Holding Limited, a public listed company on the Catalist Board of the Singapore Exchange.
Clement holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (1994) from University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada and he speaks and write fluent English and Chinese.
